Consumer Warning

This page reflects my opinion and personal experience. It is not a statement that every borrower will have the same experience.

Before doing business with any lender, including Union Savings Bank, borrowers, investors, and business owners should consider the following:

Keep every receipt.

Confirm every payment in writing.

Request complete ledgers.

Do not rely only on phone conversations.

Save emails, letters, screenshots, and notices.

Confirm how partial payments are applied.

Ask whether payments may be placed in suspense or unapplied funds.

Request written cure figures.

Review loan documents for cognovit, venue, default, acceleration, and collection provisions.

Speak with qualified counsel before signing documents or responding to collection activity.

Based on my experience, documentation matters. If there is a dispute, the written record may become the most important evidence.
